At the ICGG 2024, 21st International Conference on Geometry and Graphics, Cornelie Leopold was presented with the Steve Slaby Award.

The Steve M. Slaby Award is dedicated to an individual who is recognized for his/her accomplishments, outstanding lifetime achievement, and superlative leadership and influential stature in the Geometry and Graphics Education community, especially at the international level. 

It is usually awarded every two years by the International Society for Geometry and Graphics (ISGG) at the ICGG conference. It is named after Steve M. Slaby (1922-2008), who was a professor at Princeton University, USA.
